Beyoncé has opened up about how she has been changed by the challenges she experienced during this year.
The December cover story of British Vogue is about the superstar. In the issue, Beyoncé reveals how the events of 2020 have “absolutely changed” her.
“It would be difficult to experience life in a pandemic and the current social unrest and not be changed. I have learnt that my voice is clearer when I am still,” she told Vogue‘s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful in the interview.
“I truly cherish this time with my family, and my new goal is to slow down and shed stressful things from my life. I came into the music industry at 15 years old and grew up with the world watching, and I have put out projects nonstop,” she added.
Talking about her daughter Blue Ivy, Beyoncé said, “She is aware that there is a shift, but it is my job as a parent to do my best to keep her world as positive and safe as can be for an 8-year-old.”
Describing Blue as a “very smart” little girl, the 39 year old musician said her eldest daughter has “become a better listener.”
