– 2.6 million young adults have moved back home during the pandemic.

– 25% of young adults, between the ages of 16 and 24, lost their jobs between late February and May because of the coronavirus.

Jennifer Lopez has recalled meeting Billie Eilish, which the Latino superstar described as “mind-blowing.”

In an interview for fiancé A-Rod and Big Cat’s podcast, “The Corp,” J-Lo was asked which young talents she found inspiring, to which she replied, “Billie Eilish. My daughter is in love with her. We had a real moment at the Billie Eilish concert that was like, ‘Oh my god, we’re bonding right now. It’s amazing.’”

“I watched my daughter freak out over Billie Eilish … She walked in the room after the concert, and my daughter goes [gasps with hand over her mouth]. And I looked at her, and I’m like, ‘What’s the matter?’ and she’s, literally, the tears because she’s idolized this girl. For whatever reason, her songs and the words she says she connects to, and she loves her style. Whatever it is moves her,” Lopez explained.

“It made me appreciate what I do more, my fans more, what Billie did for my daughter,” she added. “All of it, it was like a full circle moment. We love Billie.”

J-Lo said that she also loves young popstar, Ariana Grande.

“I love Ariana Grande,” she said. “I think she’s super talented. It’s not just her beautiful voice. It’s her spirit. It’s her comedy. It’s her ability to do different things. I love seeing that.”

“Dancing With the Stars” has revealed its cast for its upcoming season, which will include rapper Nelly and Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean.

Meanwhile, Sharna Burgess, Peta Murgatroyd, Val Chmerkovskiy, Cheryl Burke, Keo Motsepe, Jenna Johnson, Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Sasha Farber, Pasha Pashkov, Emma Slater and Gleb Savchenko will all be returning as the pro dancers, along with new pro entrants Britt Stewart and Daniella Karagach.

Ariana Grande was the highest-paid female musician on Forbes‘ Celebrity 100 list, published on Wednesday.

Ranked at No. 17, she has gross earnings worth $72 million, the bulk of which came from her Sweetener World Tour last year.

Last April, Grande became the youngest Coachella headliner in the festival’s 20-year history.

The superstar singer took home the Fragrance of the Year-Popular award for her latest perfume, Cloud Eau De Parfum, in 2019.

The Jonas Brothers are the highest-paid music band in the Celebrity list, placed at No.20 with $68.5 million.

Other musicians who found their names down the list include Ed Sheeran (No. 23 with $64 million, Taylor Swift (No. 25 with $63.5 million), Post Malone (No. 28 with $60 million), and Shawn Mendes (No. 39 with $54.5 million).

Beyoncé Donates Additional $1 Million To Help Black-Owned Small Businesses

Beyoncé announced that she is donating via her BeyGOOD foundation $1 million in additional funds to help Black-owned small businesses.

The multiple Grammy award winner is disbursing the amount from the Black-Owned Small Business Impact Fund she launched in July as a partnership between her BeyGOOD foundation and the NAACP Empowerment Programs.

The grants worth $10,000 are offered to Black-owned small business communities that have been directly impacted by recent events across the United States.

The first tranche of grants were offered to 20 selected businesses on August 18. The second round of applications will be accepted later this month.

Beyoncé is a strong advocate of Black Lives Matter movement.

Sade Six-Album Vinyl Box Set To Be Released In October

Sony Music announced that a six-album vinyl box set titled This Far, featuring remastered versions of all the studio albums by Sade, will be released worldwide on October 9 on pure 180-gram heavyweight black vinyl.

This Far, consisting of Sade’s six acclaimed albums – Diamond Life, Promise, Stronger Than Pride, Love Deluxe, Lovers Rock, and Soldier Of Love – packaged into a white casebound box, is available to pre-order.

The Sade quartet – Sade (vocals), Stuart Matthewman (saxophone/guitar), Andrew Hale (keyboards), and Paul Spencer Denman (bass), mastering engineer Miles Showell, and the band’s longtime co-producer Mike Pela – took part in the recording process held at Abbey Road Studios.

Over a more than three decades-long career, Sade sold 60 million albums worldwide and have been certified platinum 24 times.

Mariah Carey Christmas Special Set For Apple TV+

Mariah Carey‘s new holiday special featuring surprise guests is set to debut globally later this year on Apple TV+.

“Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special” is set to premiere on the heels of the 25th anniversary of the multi-Grammy award-winning artist’s iconic No. 1 holiday anthem, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

“The innovative special will combine music, dancing and animation driven by a universally heartwarming story that brings the world together,” Apple said in a press release.

The holiday special will feature the legendary icon and a star-studded lineup of surprise guest appearances in a magical holiday journey to enliven the Christmas spirit around the world, the video on demand web television service added.

It will be directed by Hamish Hamilton and Roman Coppola, who also serves as executive producer on the project.

In addition to Mariah Carey, Ian Stewart, Raj Kapoor and Ashley Edens executive produce the holiday special for production company Done + Dusted.

Beyoncé has shared a new video for “Brown Skin Girl,” which features appearances from Kelly Rowland, Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o, Saint Jhn, WizKid and her daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

The six-minute video was directed by Jenn Nkiru and debuted on “Good Morning America.”

“Brown Skin Girl” is from her latest visual album, Black Is King, although the track had initially appeared on Beyoncé’s 2019 LP The Lion King: The Gift, which was a companion soundtrack to Disney’s live-action remake of The Lion King.

“It was so important to me in ‘Brown Skin Girl’ that we represented all different shades of brown. We wanted every character to be shot in a regal light . It was important that we are all in this together and we’re all celebrating each other,” Beyoncé said.

Pop superstar Ariana Grande has begged Rihanna to drop hew new album as soon as possible.

Grande took to Instagram on Tuesday, August 18, to ask RiRi to drop her 9th studio album. Grande was responding to the news that she had officially surpassed Rihanna as the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify with a whopping 20.5 billion-plus streams of her catalog.

“Holy s**t thank u all so much for listening and caring at all let alone this much. I can’t wait to give u new things to listen to,” she wrote. “Now can Rihanna pls drop her album so she can rightfully snatch this back and fill my ears again please or ….”

Rihanna has been teasing her follow-up to 2016’s Anti since May 2018. She has indicated that the album will be reggae-influenced.

“I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it’s gonna come out,” RiRi told Entertainment Tonight during an interview last month. “And you’re not going to be disappointed when it happens. It’s going to be worth it.”

Mariah Carey has released the new track “Save The Day,” featuring Lauryn Hill, from her upcoming album.

The release comes a few days after Carey announced that her new album, The Rarities, will be released on October 2.

On a Zoom listening party ahead of the song’s release, Carey said, “I love Lauryn, I think she’s an incredible artist.”

“I was happy that Lauryn wanted to do this moment with me.. I only wanted to do it with her approval and excitement,” she added.

“Save the Day” was an unfinished project that Carey, Jermaine Dupri and Randy Jackson collaborated on in 2011 and finished recently.

The 15-track album will also include some of Carey’s biggest hits, including “Always Be My Baby” and “Hero.”

The album will also include a bonus set of “Live at the Tokyo Dome,” containing 17 songs that Carey played during her first concert performance in Japan in 1996.
