Donna Summer & Barbra Streisand Duet Featured In New LGBTQ+ Voting Ad

The Vote Proud organization, a political action group that aims to aid and inspire the LGBTQ+ community to register to vote, has released a brand-new advertisement that features a duet by Barbra Streisand and Donna Summer.

Titled “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough),” the 1979 single was written by the co-founder of Vote Proud, Bruce Roberts, who founded the organization alongside Lisa Halliday and Jake Resnicow.

“I wrote Enough is Enough many years ago. Barbra Streisand & Donna Summer recorded it and had a global #1 record, selling millions,” shared Roberts. “And all these years later it has become an anthem for change and equality in America today.”

The video focuses on bringing to light the fact that under the Trump administration, fewer and fewer members of the queer community have registered to vote. The ad also urges them to do so in the upcoming 2020 Presidential Elections to be held in November.

Chloe X Halle Perform Stripped-Down Version Of ‘Forgive Me’

Chloe x Halle have shared a stripped-down version of their single “Forgive Me.”

The sisters recorded their performance during quarantine in their backyard tennis court that had been transformed into a forest-like stage.

The live performance was part of Variety‘s Power of Young Hollywood virtual program on Thursday.

In an introductory speech before their performance, Chloe said, “Women are incredibly powerful, and even though the world tends to underestimate us, we all know our worth. I think it’s really special how two young Black girls – my sister and I – can create something from nothing, especially in a male-dominated industry.”

She added, “A lot of the songwriters are men, a lot of the producers are men, a lot of the engineers are men, but it’s really fun taking that narrative and completely screwing it up and being like, ‘Hey, we can do it all, as well.’”

“In the midst of this crazy year of 2020, we want our music to bring peace and healing for listeners,” said the sisters.

Eminem ‘Stressed Out’ About Potential Revelations In Mariah Carey Memoir

Eminem is reportedly stressed out due to the upcoming memoir by Mariah Carey, which he expects will include revelations about him.

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, was romantically linked with Carey in 2001. Eminem confirmed their relationship during an interview with Rolling Stone in 2002.

“Eminem’s Achilles heel has always been Mariah Carey. They had a very toxic relationship,” an insider told Us Weekly. “He knows that Mariah is going to say very negative things about him. He is expecting the onslaught, and almost welcomes it.”

However, Eminem is particularly worried that Carey could reveal details about their sex life.

“Marshall is stressed out that Mariah is going to say sh*t that he was bad in bed or a selfish lover because he has always been very insecure about that,” the source said. “She knows that.”
